Is there such a thing as being addicted to love? If so, I might have that. I was always that girl sneaking out of bed to watch love stories and romance movies after my parents went to bed….you know, the ones that I was supposedly “too young” to watch but were secretly my favorite movies because the couple you were rooting for always had a happy ending and love always conquered all. Some may say I live in a fantasy world, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with truly believing in love at first sight and that love can and will save the world. I know it sounds cliche, but here I am in my mid-30s still believing that every wedding I witness and that every love I see and feel between a couple is one of the greatest stories of all time. So I’ve chosen to just embrace that part of me and it’s natural to see why my heart is most passionate about weddings and elopements. They speak to the depths of me, they define part of who I am…that portion of my soul that I’ve discovered needs to be filled with mountain-fuls of overwhelming love stories, and the anticipation of knowing that at the end of your wedding day my cheeks will no doubt thoroughly hurt from smiling so much — because your story was just that good.

I make no promises that I might not bawl my eyes out during your ceremony vows or dinner speeches. I make no promises that I won’t hug your whole family when I leave that night. And I make no promises that some of us may become lifelong friends. Because the reality is that some or all of those things are bound to happen.
